Welcome to Newfoundland Canada, the easterly edge of North America. This is where the sun   rises first. Where Vikings landed over 1,000 years ago. This place is home to the oldest European settlement and one of the oldest cities in North America, but has been a province of Canada for barely 65 years. A vast land, with a relatively small population, rich history and natural wonders - stunning coastlines, breaching whales and some of the most incredible skyscapes you'll ever see. There’s enough coastline wrapped around this place to stretch across
Canada four times over!

 

Discover a land filled with Viking history. Explore a land rich with culture and overflowing with natural beauty including two UNESCO World Heritage sites, incredible seabird and whale watching opportunities and maybe even an iceberg or two.

• 1 night Nova Scotia prior to ferry then 7 nights Newfoundland (1 night each Port Aux Basque and Shallow Bay, 2 nights Gander, 1 night Bonavista, 2 nights St. John’s).

• Newfoundland’s “Viking Trail,” Gros Morne  National Park, Cape Bona Vista and other coastal areas of the province.

• Twillingate Mariner’s Museum and scenic fisherman’s boat tour.

• Gander airfield, inspiration for “Come from Away.”
