Savannah and Charleston

April 2-6, 2018

Discover the subtle differences and engaging charms of two of the nation’s most beautiful cities! We will begin in Savannah, Georgia where azaleas, dogwoods and daffodils make this gracious city glow. Our drive to the coast will take us through Columbia with an afternoon arrival in Savannah, giving us time to explore the River Street shopping area that is just across from our hotel. We will enjoy a driving and walking tour of the historic squares and downtown attractions with our local guide. We will visit the Pinpoint Heritage Museum and explore the coastal marshes at Skidaway Island. Our plans also include a lovely dinner at The Olde Pink House Restaurant followed by a show at the Savannah Theater. We will tour the Owens-Thomas House and the Telfair Art Museum before heading to the Charleston Tea Plantation for a visit.

Once in Charleston, we will take a city tour, explore the homes and the gardens highlighted on the Festival program. We will make a stop at Middleton Place Plantation before arriving home in Hendersonville. If you have never been or missed seeing some of the best attractions in these charming cities, then this is your tour.
