Have you been to Chattanooga?

Spring Mystery Tour

The name "Chattanooga" comes from the Indian word for "rock coming to a point." But Chattanooga is much more than that and was the perfect destination for our Spring Mystery Tour. Chattanooga, TN has been named by Lonely Planet as one of the "10 US destinations you need to see in 2018." The city is filled with great restaurants, museums and world-class attractions and the views are breathtaking. Globe Treks Mystery Tours are designed to take you to places you may have never taken the time to fully explore and are always within an easy day's drive with accommodations at only one hotel. Super fun and super easy!

Globe Treks tour manager, David Bryan, shared his photos and memories from the 2018 Spring Mystery Tour:

"Pardon me boy, is that the Chattanooga Choo Choo?" The great city of Chattanooga is immortalized in song thanks to the popularity of the 1941 Glenn Miller hit song and it was our final destination as thirty-two adventurous Globe Treks guests departed for parts west to a mystery destination.

After our first surprise attraction on the tour - an afternoon stop in Knoxville to see a dazzling and amazing matinee performance of Cirque du Soleil CORTEO, we arrived in the Scenic City of the South for fun-filled days of surprises.

There were art museums, the Tennessee Aquarium, an IMAX film, and the next day an old-fashioned train ride and a ride straight up Lookout Mountain on the always daring Incline Railway. An afternoon tour of the city capped-off the excitement.

Add to all that, there was, of course, the enjoyment of Chattanooga's incredible restaurants and delicious dining.

The drive home day included a country inn lunch by the Tennessee River, capped by the tour finale -- a Pigeon Forge tour of the Titanic Museum. It was a delightful and awesome Mystery Tour."
