Experience the tales of six women who gather under the hair dryers at Truvy’s Beauty Salon to share gossip, laughter, recipes and beauty secrets.

 

The outspoken and wise-cracking Truvy dispenses shampoos and free advice to the town’s rich curmudgeon, Ouiser. Truvy’s eager new assistant, Annell arrives at the salon not sure whether or not she is still married. The beauty shop is also a second home to the eccentric Miss Clairee (who has a raging sweet tooth) and the local social leader, M’Lynn, whose daughter, Shelby is about to marry a local “good old boy.”

Their conversations in Truvy’s beauty shop bring hilarity until tragedy strikes and brings them face-to-face with their own mortality.
