Road Trip USA

Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear!

No, not with the Lone Ranger. Instead, it was an unforgettable Globe Treks tour. We took a trip back in a time machine to the 1950's and 1960's on the old historic Mother Road - Route 66.

Over the Independence Day holidays, Globe Treks guests got their kicks on Route 66. Traveling through small towns and ghost towns on America's most famous highway, we stopped at old, refurbished and abandoned motels, gas stations, soda fountains and ice cream parlors. We feasted on chicken-fried steak, fried lasagna and hamburgers and hot dogs.

The trip-back-in-time started at St. Louis and followed the famous highway path to Oklahoma City. Route 66 treated our group to an unforgettable experience and a reminder of our earlier years before there were interstate highways and when old two-lane highways of America followed the terrain of the land.
