Texas Bluebonnets

A visit to the Texas Hill Country in the springtime is surprising and wonderful at every turn! The rocky landscape is carpeted with bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes, and the rivers are clear and blue in their limestone beds. The food is always a treat, whether you choose to enjoy some down-home brisket BBQ, legendary steak or you have some flavorful Mexican or authentic German cuisine in mind. Whatever your pleasure, you will find it (and some great local beer and wine) in the Lonestar State.

We'll begin with two nights in downtown San Antonio with visits to the Alamo and time to relax and explore the colorful Mercado and the popular Riverwalk which we will tour by boat. We will spend two nights at the Inn on Barons Creek in Fredericksburg in the heart of the Hill Country. We'll have a tasting at the Becker Winery, visit Luckenbach and Bandera, our favorite cowboy town. Marvel at the Museum of the Pacific War, the LBJ Ranch and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Live music at the end of a fun day in Austin will wrap up our Texas tour!
